Chino Valley Homes

The town of Chino Valley is the site of the first Territorial Capital of Arizona. In 1864, the capital moved to Prescott, which is a neighboring city 15 miles away. The name "Chino" was given to the area by U.S. Army Cavalry Lieutenant Amiel W. Whipple while he was traveling through the area. "Chino" refers to the Mexican name for the curly grama grass that grows rampantly throughout the area and serves as a lush backdrop to Chino Valley homes.

Back in 1895, the United Verde and Pacific Railroad to the city of Jerome were completed. The railroad joined Prescott and Arizona Central, and established Jerome Junction, which was very active during the years of 1900 and 1925 within the Chino Valley area.

The town was finally incorporated in 1970, and Chino Valley homes rest north of Prescott and 35 miles south of Ash Fork along Interstate 40. Since its incorporation, Chino Valley real estate has exploded, and the area now boasts several Chino Valley new homes, including Chino Valley luxury homes and Chino Valley condos.
